Monty D. Smith Company Operating Officer Monty D. Smith was appointed to Company Operating Officer of John L. Scott Real Estate in 2023. He is responsible for the ongoing operations of John L. Scott Real Estate. Working with our service center, field leadership team, mortgage joint venture and affiliate network teams, Monty also moves forward strategic initiatives and goals in supporting our company's vision and mission. He joined John L. Scott Real Estate in 2020 as our Company Growth Officer, bringing more than 27 years of diverse real estate experience from a regional and national level to the position. Before joining John L. Scott, Monty spent nearly 18 years with the nation's largest residential real estate brokerage company NRT LLC (Anywhere Advisors). He progressively advanced at NRT LLC, finally serving as the company's President of Company Generated Business. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from the University of Florida and completed the human capital management master's degree program from Columbia University in 2021.
